A couple of new features for the members is that you can now submit a photo via the Submit Photo link on the left sidebar. For those of you that wish to send in some of your photos, this should make it easy for you.

There is also a new way to view larger image photos from the Members Photos gallery.

Time Lapse Weather Images
MoviesOn the left sidebar you will find links to the QuickTime Weather images from the Weather Cams.
The images for the last hour are taken every 5 minutes.
The images for the last 4 hours are taken every 20 minutes.
The images for the last 12 hours are taken hourly.

Check out the Time Lapse weather feature. I think you will enjoy seeing the changes, especially during inclement weather where things can change rather quickly.

Web Cam #2 Up and Running
Site NewsI have been testing the Web Cam #2 for about a week now. Everything seems to be working fine.
I have added a 1 hour Time Lapse feature for this Cam #2 also on the left sidebar.

The only thing I need to do now is get a longer Firewire cable so I can move the camera in another window and face it more due West toward the Marble Mountains. I may have to change the direction slightly due to the sun during the summer months.

All 3 Cameras are now operational and take photos every 5 minutes during the daylight hours with the exception of the "Office Cam". This camera only updates when I feel like it... or when I'm not sitting in front of the computer... :-)

Scroll down the page to view all 3 Web Cams.

Screen Shots of Mac Mini on my TV
JournalI have taken a few photos of my new Mac Mini with the Intel Processor running on my 36" Sony TV screen.

I have added the Mac Mini to my "Home Entertainment Center" utilizing the new "Front Row" along with the new Weather Cam #2.

Here are some photos:
The first shot shows OS X running on the screen.

The second shot shows the opening page of Front Row.

The third shot shows an iTunes selection being played.

The forth shot shows the Mac Mini Screen Saver.

There is a lot of glare in the photos but the actual screen looks real good especially for Front Row, iTunes, iPhoto and the Weather Cam.

The computer part itself has a little blurry text due to the pixel shape. Computers use square pixels and TV's use octagon pixels. Still, everything but the text looks fantastic and I really don't plan on surfing the Internet with it or writing documents, etc.... I plan to use it for the Entertainment interface and integration with the TV and Stereo. iTunes sounds great through the Stereo.

Who's next on the block to try something like this?

New "Time Lapse Weather" feature for Camera #2
Site NewsI've just added a new Time Lapse Weather feature for the new Camera #2
All the photos for the last hour are displayed in a Time Lapse series. You can view the weather changes as the photos change every 2 seconds (that of course depends on the weather).

Check out the left sidebar today. It's under the "Time Lapse Weather" panel.
This feature is only available and viewable to members.

It's free and easy to become a member. There are a lot of other nice "member only" features here also.

Hope to see you here.
