It has started.
Moffett Creek at my neighbors house is coming over the bank.
It is OK through my property so far but I don't think that willl last much longer.

Some of the drainage areas from across the highway from me are starting to flood my fields.
Doesn't look good.

Happy New Year, 2006

Richard,

I haven't left the house today. It has been raining all day and now it has started pouring.
Sometimes I wonder why I took up farming.
Anyone want to buy a ranch? Smile

I'm hoping they all become a member when they see the new site.

My brother sent me a couple of photos of "Scott Lake" just south of Fort Jones - however the road was open for him.

Richard,
The road was closed last night as the water was quite a bit higher.
As hasemeyer mentioned it was open today.
My wife and i took a drive around and took quite a few photos of Scott Lake.

Something a little funny,
A 30 foot travel trailer went floating past my house last night.
It was my neighbors who was down south for the holidays.
I never would have thought to see the trailer floating down river which happened in the dark so we all missed it. But I do have photos where it is now resting 4 ranches down river and all broken up...

The power of water...

hasemeyer,

Thanks for sharing the photos. I saw many people taking photos yesterday.

In the slide show I added on the main page of the flood you can see some of the areas flooded.
http://www.joekriz.com/movies/Floodmo...odmov.html
One of the photos shows a 30 foot travel trailer in the creek. This was from3 ranches up.
The Tree in the photo is my tree which went down the creek with the trailer.
Another photo shows a view from an airplane. You can see the airport is just barely above the water line with flooding all around it.

Thanks Joe for the photos. I guess my house on N. Kidder Creek is high and dry. Hope you don't get too wet! Shock
