For you members viewing the Weather Cams, you can see that we have one or more forest fires in the area creating the smoke.
Visibility is down to about a mile. Yuk....

Hi, this is Glee and Richard in Butte Co. We spent alot of time in the Marbles. Where exactly are the fires located and how bad is the smoke in the Valley now?

Hi Joe,
I've been camping on the boat with the kids for a week and on the drive back I heard the incredible heat has continued in California. The radio also mentioned and many deaths due to the heat. So I'm logging on to check up on you? How the heck are you? If it's on our radio stations in mid Canada I'm assuming it's been REALLY bad. I hope it's only yukkie smoke and nothing worse in your area.
It's been high 30's (celcius) and touching the 40's daily here with the typical air/smog warnings in the city so I'm leaving north again tomorrow, with kids, and the dog , to meet kingfish, jechura and a few others for another week.
Stay well.
Peter

No deaths so far from the heat or the fires that I have heard.
The reports are around 40 to 50 separate fires in the mountains.
They are burning so hot they aren't even trying to put them out. They are basically keeping the fire from reaching any buildings and keeping sprinklers running around any structures.
Just smokey in my area although today is better. I can still see heavy smoke in the Marble Mountains though.
